Heather Van Noy
Coach Van Noy is originally from Chino Hills, California where she attended Ayala High School and played volleyball. She then found her way to Denton to attend college at Texas Woman’s University where she played volleyball for 4 year.
Coach Van Noy taught World Geography and coached volleyball and softball at Guyer High School for six years from 2005-2011. Coach Van Noy then left to become a head volleyball coach at Lake Dallas and has been there for the last 6 years.
This past January, Coach Van Noy was hired as the new Head Volleyball Coach at Guyer. She is very excited to be a Wildcat again!!
For 12 years now, Coach Van Noy has been happily married to Josh Van Noy , a math teacher at Strickland Middle School in Denton. They have twin 7 year old boys, Jaxson and Cason and Baby Hudson who was born in November of 2016!
Coach Durham was born and raised in Lewisville, TX. She attended Lewisville High School where she was a 3-year letterman in volleyball, served as captain for her varsity volleyball squad and was awarded district honors. After high school, Coach Durham attended Texas A&M University Commerce where she played intercollegiate club volleyball while earning her BS in Kinesiology and Sport studies. She previously coached at volleyball at Greenville Christian school before coming to Guyer in 2013 where she served as the freshman volleyball coach for two years, and has spent the last two year as the varsity assistant. She is excited for another great season with DGV!!
Coach Harden has been coaching for ten years. She was a head 7th grade volleyball coach at McMath Middle School. After 5 years, Coach Harden transferred to Guyer High School as the varsity assistant and interim head coach. Coach Harden worked at Lonestar Volleyball club for 4 years with the 11s,12s,15s,16s divisions. She continues to coach private teams and individuals along with coaching at Guyer.
Coach Fifer, a native of Guyer High School, will serve her first year as a volleyball coach for the Lady Wildcats in the fall of 2017. Kaylee graduated from Guyer High School in 2010 and was a part of the first team to earn a ticket to the playoffs. In addition to three years of playoff action, Kaylee was named to the TGCA All-Star Team her senior year, was on the TGCA All-State Conference 4A Team three years in a row, nominated as the All-Area Setter of the Year two times, and All-Area/All-District MVP in 2008. After representing Guyer, she received a full scholarship to play volleyball and attend Colgate University in Upstate New York. While at Colgate, Kaylee was a four-year letter winner, served as the team's captain in her final two years as a Raider and gained the Patriot League Championship Title and first NCAA Tournament berth for the University in 20 years in 2012. After graduating from Colgate in 2014 with a B.A. in History and Studio Art, she moved back south and attended Texas Christian University where she worked for the volleyball program, both indoor and beach, and went back to school to obtain another degree. While serving as the graduate assistant for TCU, Kaylee was able to learn how to coach and mentor athletes at a high level, attend a NCAA tournament as a coach and receive her Master of Liberal Arts degree by 2016. Upon graduation, Kaylee then moved back to Denton as a full-time Volleyball Assistant for the University of North Texas, playing a role in the program’s recruiting, player development, budgeting and summer camp organization. Currently, Kaylee has decided to make the coaching move to high school where it all started for her. Kaylee will be teaching within the Art program at Guyer.
Coach Jenkins, a native Kansan, graduated from Austin College with her B.A. in Physical Education. She then attended UNT grad school for her certification in Physical Science. She has coached volleyball for 16 years at Allen HS, Coppell HS, and Guyer HS. In her 28th year of teaching, she currently teaches AP Physics at Guyer HS. She loves working with young people and helping them grow as they develop their skills.
Coach Ray is from Woodson, Texas where she played volleyball, basketball and ran track. She was regional qualifier in volleyball and track all four years. She attended and graduated from Stephen F. Austin with a Bachelor of Science. While at SFA she participated in club volleyball. She has worked for Huntington, Groveton, and Valley View ISD. In her free time to enjoys playing co-ed softball. This is Coach Ray’s ninth year coaching, but her 4th year at Guyer. She is married to Charles Ray, and they have one son, Gabriel. She is very excited about the upcoming season!
